My Experience
In 2025, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science (taught in English) from the University of Amsterdam. Afterwards, I completed a 120-hour TESOL/TEFL certification course to become a certified English tutor.
Over the past six years, I gained experience in the international workplace while working for a Dutch bank and a media analysis company, among others.
These roles required a high level of practical business English, which prepared me for a rewarding career as an English tutor.
My Philosophy
The most important element of my classes is safety. Only when we feel safe do we feel motivated to learn and apply new information effectively. That our learning process works like this is evident from the number of new students I obtain through word of mouth.
I also aim to focus on one's progress throughout the lessons, rather than on rigid numbers and grades. Lastly, I find it important to, next to keeping the atmosphere light and the focus high, challenge a student as much as possible. Only through a continuous increase in effort can we see the progress we want.
I will help you get out of your comfort zone to discover your true potential, using a positive attitude and evidence-based teaching techniques. English with Noa aims to make the learning experience both challenging and fun for you.
